The very begining

Hello peeps! I have no idea why my blogger site does not load on my Chrome anymore :( So depressing as I do all my stuff on the Chrome but now I'm on the Explorer!

Anyways, these few days have been hectic as my exams started yesterday. It has been a long and stressful semester and while everyone is finishing I am only starting. It's not like I have a choice anyway!!! To those not-so-bright people who keep asking me why am I only starting so late. "Ermmmm.... because we don't go and sit for examinations whenever we like? Theres this thing called the exam timetable?" Okay enough of my ramblings. So yesterday I decided to treat myself and pop by the sweet store. And look what I got meself!!

A piping bag :) I am so excited to try it out! I got the better quality one so instead of buying the disposable ones and killing the enviroment, I paid a little bit more and got a reusable one. Yes a tree huger I am. As you can see I also got a tip set and a fastener. I chose a flower and round shaped tip set. I thought it would be a good way to start.

Here I have some closer pictures of what I got myself.

So next blog post I shall post up some amazing pictures of pretty iced up cupcakes

Getting Grill'd

Right now I am sitting in front of the computer putting this entry in. An hour earlier I was just having dinner at Grill'd. Grill'd is this restaurant that serves gourmet burgers. This seems to be the trend now, gourmet burgers. The first place we tried was at Jus Burgers, but that's another story for another time. Tonight we decided to head to Grill'd to check out what the fuss was about.

Upon entering the restaurant, you will find that the Grill'd team prides themselves on healthy burgers but not compromising on the taste either. It's perfect for people like me that love food but like to try to eat healthy as much as possible. This, I can tell you is the perfect place to be. The menu is pretty extensive, their patties range from beef to lamb to chicken to vegerarian. They even have salad sides! Even their burgers itself has a long list of choice for you to choose from. Seriously, we were standing there for like half an hour just deciding which burger we wanted. So in the end I ordered a Hot Mama, and Jason ordered a Crispy Bacon & Cheese. Mine was basically loaded with fillings I already love : roast red peppers, dill pickle, tasty cheese, tzatziki and heaps of fresh salad! I found one on the menu that serves it with satay sauce. And of course all the beef burgers are made with 100% lean beef. Making it a much healthier choice.

Of course we also had to give the herbed hot chips a try. I was told by a friend that these were possibly the best hot chip she has even tasted. For a true Aussie girl to say that, I thought that was enough of an excuse for me to order those chips. hehe. So there we have it, our two burgers and a "worlds best hot chip" (according to my friend) and oh, we also got a sweet chili mayo to go with it.

I loved the set up of the restaurant as well. It was very opened, glass panels all around. And surprisingly it was not cold at all as the glass panels were pushed open. Perfect for people watching! And we spotted a huge table in the middle. It was enough to accommodate 12 guest. I thought it would be a great idea as this would be a good place to have a bigger dinner with friend or family. The environment was very chilled, we had school students whizzing in with parents grabbing a burger and fries to share, we had girls catching up over a salad and in the corner we even spotted a company of friend have burgers and a little sneaky drink or two. Not to mention, the service was super-duper fast as well! We got our burgers within 20 minutes of ordering!

Those hot chips were indeed to die forrrrr!!! It was so golden and crispy on the outside but on the inside it was nice and warm and fluffy even! All of that rolled in herb salt!! I would go to Grill'd just for those hot chips! I am totally craving them now even though I just got back from there ;)

Just in case  any of you guys decide to drop by and check it out yourselves:

Favourites of the moment.

My very first blog post and I thought what better way to start off than to introduce some of my very favourite food.  So lets get cranking!

First would be Pizza!

But not just any pizza you get from Pizza Hut or Dominos but proper woodfire pizza or maybe a slice from Little Caesers! The picture above is a picture of a half-and-half pizza. Half of it is Cashew Chicken the other half is Peri-Peri Prawns. This is the perfect go to solution when you are too busy to cook and want something yummy and healthy!

Next contestant! CHOCOLATE!!

More like a lot and a lot of chocolate! This is us at San Churros. This place only serves chocolate. What we have here is a kids size Churro. It comes with three mini Churros, a choice of dipping sauce and rainbow sprinkles! Heaven! Oh, and for those who don't know what Churros is. It's Spanish donuts, except it looks nothing like donuts. It's not round but straight and long (hehe). But it taste so good! It's soft and yummy on the outside and crispy and golden on the outside.

My next edible yumminess is something that has been a craze after I visited Melbourne in April, French Macaroons..

This is a lavender French Macaroon. A macaroon was originally from France (duhhh..) and it's suppose to be light crisp on the outside and when you take a bite, the inside is suppose to be nice and gooey and the lavender taste just spills all over your mouth! I had this lavender French Macaroon and an hour later I could still taste the lavender! Now that's a good Macaroon!

Okay, this is the last one I promise :)
This was something I found in the food magazine. I am a bit of a health freak so I thought this would be an interesting one so I decided to give it a try. Lo and behold...

Fruit toast on the bottom dabbled with generous amount of Ricotta Cheese, dribbled with honey and a splash of lime. I swear, this taste so good but at the same time it is so healthy as well! I could eat this every day. I had all these items in my fridge so I was happy I could make this at home. You guys should definitely try making this lovely little snack :)

Until next time! Or if you like, drop me a comment :)
ps, the last picture is a bit artsy because I was using the Hipstamatic App on my iPhone.
